JUVÉDERM® treatments are relatively pain-free as a topical numbing cream is often applied to the area prior to the injection. The process takes approximately 15 minutes and the results are immediate. With minimal recovery, side effects are rare but may include minor bruising or swelling and some treatments may be performed with topical or injected local anesthesia. Since JUVÉDERM® is made of the same hyaluronic acid found in our bodies, allergic reactions are rare and normal activities can be resumed as soon as the treatment is completed.
